what to expect
We think breakfast is the best meal of the day, so why not join us to make a personalised breakfast bowl/plate and tumbler/mug to enjoy every day? Set under the pergola in our shady garden, during this two-hour workshop you'll follow a guided tuition to make your very own cereal bowl or plate and tumbler/mug using simple pottery handbuilding techniques - and you'll have plenty of opportunity to add personal design touches to your work. Your pots will then be glazed and fired, ready for collection, or shipping, within 3-4 weeks of the workshop. This workshop is perfect for beginners, as well as those with more experience - all levels are welcome. The class includes: - All materials - Guided tuition to make 1 x cereal bowl or plate and 1 x mug/tumbler per person - Glazing in a house glaze of choice - Firing - Grazing board, incuding non-alcoholic refreshments Additional info: - The studio is located in Porepunkah, just off the rail trail. There is on-street parking but it is limited. We would encourage you to carpool, walk or cycle where possible. There is plenty of secure parking for bicycles. - Although clay doesn't stain, we recommend you wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. You may wish to bring an apron if you have one. - The workshop takes place outside. We will be undercover but please check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing to keep warm/cool. - Following the workshop, your pots will be glazed in one of our house glazes and fired. We'll notify you when your work is ready for collection (approximately 3-4 weeks after the workshop). - A minimum of four participants is required for the class to go ahead. Should your chosen date not reach these numbers, we'll be in touch to reschedule or refund your workshop. - Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. - Please be prepared to adhere to any applicable Covid-19 requirements at the time of the workshop, such as check-in or vaccine requirements. - Please note, pottery can be temperamental, and while we'll do absolutely everything to ensure you pieces make it through the entire process successfully, sometimes unavoidable accidents do happen.
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours before the start time.
